PROJECTS Lewistown Children's Center Snyder, Union, Mifflin Child Development, Inc. Completed in the fall of 2003, the new Lewistown Children's Center along Green Avenue Extension in Derry Township is a 22,000 square foot project that incorporates pre-engineered metal building components. This is a "second generation" building based on the principles developed for the flagship facility that we created in Lewisburg. This facility will support childcare services for the community, as well as to provide much needed office space for the numerous community outreach programs offered by SUMCD. In addition, this building was designed to permit future expansion. Our services include building and interior design, input on site design, preparation of bidding documents, assistance in receiving multiple prime construction bids, administration of the construction contract, and project closeout. We also provided full architectural services for the playground. This project involves funding/financing from various sources, including private sources, CDBG, and other municipal grants.
